Meet the Team
Cam Powell
CEO
Born and raised in southern Louisiana, Cam comes from a strong family background of hardworking, blue collar trade professionals who aided in his path to building and construction. Through his adolescent years, he worked for different contractors and builders, specializing in excavation and new construction. While serving in the military, he founded Tactical Contracting with a vision to set the standard as the best building and excavating company around. He believes in helping a growing community by offering expert service and professionalism, to help build the future of the construction industry. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, working on their farm, and writing and singing country music.
David Hayes
Excavation Project Manager
David is a Clarksville native who grew up around other trade professionals, which inspired him to pursue a career in the construction industry. At age 18, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps as a heavy equipment operator where he served for 4 years. After his time in service, he continued his professional career in excavation as a heavy equipment operator, where he has expanded his skill set and expertise. He joined Tactical Contracting because he wanted to be part of a growing company that is aimed at being the best in the business. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, being a dad to his 3 children, watching movies, and spending time outdoors.
Matt Morrison
Field Project Manager
Matt was born and raised in Cunningham Tennessee, where he started his career in building construction. Matt is a Marine Corps veteran with a huge drive for success. In his professional construction career, he has built hundreds of homes, apartments, and commercial projects. He is dedicated to professionalism and excellence, ensuring a smooth building process for all jobs alike. He is a husband and father, who takes great pride in his work and home life. In his free time, he enjoys working on his childhood truck and spending time with his family.
Sam Richard
Operations Manager
Sam grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Operations and Construction Management. During his tenure at UC, Sam served as a project intern for different GC’s, but his passion for construction started in high school, pouring concrete during summer and winter breaks. He is committed to delivering high quality results and developing positive, long lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Outside of work he enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and working on the family farm.
